Smoke A 'LIL Smoke, Marion NC

Slide2.JPG

In this barbecue review for Pit Stop Adventures, the team visits Smoke a Little Smoke in Marion, North Carolina, discovering a standout barbecue spot on their way home from a weekend in Cherokee. The restaurant’s new location offered a spacious, welcoming setting with friendly staff and a Marion-themed mural still in progress. They ordered the Whole Farm platter, a generous meal for two featuring pulled pork, pulled chicken, brisket, smoked bologna, and jalapeño sausage. The pulled pork impressed with its smoky flavor, tenderness, and juicy texture, while the brisket delivered a flavorful bark and a satisfying pull-apart bite. Smoked bologna was an unexpected favorite, and the jalapeño sausage stood out for its snap and balanced seasoning. The sauces were another highlight, with classic vinegar, sweet barbecue, spicy barbecue, peach habanero, and blueberry offering thoughtful pairings across the meats. Potato salad ranked among the team’s favorites so far, and the hush puppies rounded out an excellent meal. The visit also included a fun connection with the restaurant’s fellow Jeep enthusiasts. With consistently strong meats, creative sauces, and memorable sides, Smoke a Little Smoke earned 94.25 out of 100, taking the number-one spot on the team’s barbecue rankings at the time of the review. The video wraps up with the story of Jeep trouble shortly after leaving the restaurant and an update on repairs and future travel plans.
